Hello! My name is Patrick and I'm from Phoenix, Arizona the United States of America. I'm 29 years old and I've been living in Spain for 4 years and I absolutely love it! This is my second year at Cabrini and I couldn't be happier here. The children are amazing and have such a great level of English. I am enjoying every minute here in Spain. The culture and lifestyle is wonderful and the people and language are even better! I'm so fortunate to be here and to be working in such a great school with such great coworkers and students. I look forward to another great year at Cabrini!
5th graders have compared and contrasted the two types of plants they have studyied! The results were amazing! They have discovered what they have in common and the differences among them. We have reinforced all we have learned about photosinthesis wit this pop-up activity. We have labelled the process and we have explained under each part. It has been great! 5th graders have celebrated Christmas in a special way. They have done a paper Santa Claus using their own hands. We hope you like it! Merry Christmas!!! In this activity, students have shown off what they have learned in the 1st term. They have written several questions for the trivial, coloured the board and laminate the cards!
It has been a great activity to review what students have learned. The layers of the atmosphere can be difficult to remember. By matching the images with the important details the students have created their own atmosphere map to study at home. The students created this minibook to help explain the organization of organisms in their environment. Each page summarizes the importance of each level. The students then had to be creative and represent each type with a picture. With this fun and educational foldable activity we have learnt the 5 animal kingdoms. Under each flap we have highlighted the most important information about each group. The students then decorated the flaps with a picture to represent the kingdoms. In fifth grade we have celebrated "Thanksgiving" this week watching a video about the pilgrims and the Mayflower. Then, we´ve made the traditional turkey with colour cards. We’ve celebrated Halloween making scary "Jack O´Lanterns" , bats with cards and funny ghosts with paper. Our classroom looked very scary!!!
