In third grade we've made a food pyramid to learn about having a healthy diet. We've divided a pyramid into four groups according to nurtrients. On the inside of each category, we've written the frequency which we need to eat these different groups of nutrients. For example, we need to eat proteins several times a week (3-4 times a week) or vitamins and minerals everday (fruits and vegetables). Inside the pyramid we have drawn examples of the types of food we can eat in each in group. For carbohydrates for instance, we have drawn pasta, bread and rice and for proteins we have drawn chicken, eggs, cheese and milk. This was a very fun activity and the children have really enjoyed making it!
Hello! My name is Patrick and I'm from Phoenix, Arizona the United States of America. I'm 29 years old and I've been living in Spain for 4 years and I absolutely love it! This is my second year at Cabrini and I couldn't be happier here. The children are amazing and have such a great level of English. I am enjoying every minute here in Spain. The culture and lifestyle is wonderful and the people and language are even better! I'm so fortunate to be here and to be working in such a great school with such great coworkers and students. I look forward to another great year at Cabrini! We organise all our knowledge using mindmaps! They help us study and review what we have learnt during the unit! We love using colours to make them! They are great! Third graders have designed this nutrients minibooks! They have shown off all they know about this topic by classifying the nutrients into 4 groups. Furthermore, they have written what the nutrients give to our body and they have drawn different types of food that contain them! They have enjoyed a lot!!! |
