We celebrated Thanksgiving taking advantage of Heili was with us. She was explaining us about this celebration and also she showed us a video. Then we made a turkey with our hands. They were really colorful. We made also C.S.I (colour,symbol and image) to represent what we learnt about this celebration. They learn the numbers in English depending of their age. For example in 1st grade of Infant Education they had to make with plasticine number one and two. However in 3rd grade of Infant Education we did a dictation.Teachers try to create motivational activities while we review the numbers.In this activity we used finger paint and teacher could realise who knows the numbers. During last Unit we were learning the differences between long/short in different ways. Sometimes when we have to learn new concepts we think it has to be only through worksheets but this is not real. There are so many options to learn new concepts. These are some of the examples. First activity that they did was draw in the whitebord long and short lines.  DICTATION: They have to draw long lines or short lines depending of what the teacher said. USING PLASTICINE: They have to create two long snakes and one smaller. MURAL USING MAGAZINES:They broughtmagazines and they had to cut long and short hair.Later they had to paste in a mural WORKING AS A GROUP:They had to create one long snake and one short snake using markers.They had one minute for create them working together.  |
